Umisa Business Services has obtained the Petroleum Wholesale License, awarded by the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy.

Energy is the enabler of economic growth and the stability of the country. It is at the centre of all business and personal activities. Without energy, the economy cannot grow; it is the vital force that powers businesses, manufacturing plants, and transportation (goods, services, and people). It is seen as the solution to many societal and business challenges and opportunities. The world is facing various challenges in the energy sector ranging from environmental impacts of extracting energy to social issues such as unemployment; the biggest challenge South Africa is battling with. 

Umisa Business Services is a new start-up company that was established to participate in the energy sector, by offering various products and services, such as petroleum products wholesale, import of petroleum products, gas trading, lubricants, and providing technology solutions to the oil and gas sector. The Founder and the Director of Umisa Business Services enrolled at Wits Business School for the Master of Management in Energy Leadership so she could gain industry knowledge and insights to build a resilient company. She intends to complete this Master’s degree in 2022.

The recently awarded Petroleum Wholesale License allows us to participate in bulk energy product sourcing, and the distribution of the following main products to the market according to the prescribed regulations: –
